This plate by CICO Heinrich & Co. out of Bavaria, Germany, depicts a central image of peaches and can be used as either a cake or a salad dish.
NOTE: dessert plates were originally part of a set that included a cake server platter. That platter broke in storage and was the item marked with backstamps. That platter can be seen in the last 2 pictures and is NOT INCLUDED in this, or the other, listing. It is pictured here to show the backstamp and that these plates were part of a set.
Dates ~ c1949-1955.
Measurements ~ approximately 5" across.
Hallmarks ~ cake plates are unmarked; the broken cake server was marked as seen in the last 2 pictures. This cake/dessert plate, originally manufactured by Heinrich & Co was then marked by CICO. CICO may have re-decorated the plate and/or just re-branded the plate for their own resale.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. This piece shows little evidence of age or use, with little wear to the pattern and little crazing. Chip and flake free; shelf wear &/or use marking is minimal, if any.
Note ~ antique/vintage glass and/or pottery may be dusty in nooks and crannies, may exhibit minor crazing, may contain minor sticker residue, and are only lightly cleaned. Because of the knock offs/fakes flooding the market, this helps you identify an aged, and thus authentic, vintage/antique piece.
