Westmoreland Milk Glass Dolphin Candle Stick Holder Candlestick Vintage Mid Century 1950s American Designer Gift
Quite decorative, and quite the statement piece, this candlestick by Westmoreland is done in milk glass and designed as an ornamental dolphin atop a hexagonal base. This piece would look amazing as a bridal accessory at the reception, and makes a most fabulous, collectible gift!
Measurements ~ approximately 4.25" tall
Dates / Pattern ~ mid century; pattern retired and in production c1940-1984 (because this piece is marked, I believe to be a later production c1955-1984).
Westmoreland was founded in Pennsylvania in 1889, with its milk glass production beginning c1940; Westmoreland's furnaces went dark in 1984.
Hallmarks ~ marked with the W G logo, and identified via pattern, as seen in pictures.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. This piece shows little evidence of age or use and displays phenomenally.
